Something new

I don't quite know what to say except that I need to change my blog. I'm sure you've all been warned about The Golden Compass movie and would like to move onto new things now. I am living my life in Michigan. January is the hardest month of the year for me. Winter is always so old by this time. Kyle reminds me that I'm always down in the dumps in January and that it will pass soon. I'm glad he knows it will. But the good news is that I've started up doing yoga again and fun aerobics videos. I'm cooking with vegetables and Millie even likes them (she always has). I'm enjoying sips on my ginseng peppermint tea here and there. And i just finished a great book (The Black Moth, if you must know). I will read 3 pages of the Book of Mormon today because Erin Beck, who was inspired by her bishop, has inspired me to do it too. And I am recording my feelings of gratitude in my journal regularly. And even though my living space is not-so-clean, I will have a good attitude about it and do what I can to improve the conditions of my surroundings. Life is good. Life is great. Yes? ................... Yes.

Sounds like you're doing a lot of great things to keep yourself occupied. Three pages in the Book of Mormon everyday? That sounds like a good goal.

I read that on Erin's blog just now. I think it sounds just great. yep, those January blahs can certainly get to a person, can't they? But we will keep on truckin. Yay for aerobic videos, one of lifes many gifts. Mine is espessialy special (pregnancy aerobics)...really a hoot. I will read my three pages before bed tonight. Then I will try and do it in the mornings instead, because I've always done my scripture reading at night when I'm tired and I've been wanting to change that for some time. We will see. Loves to you Tye Marie. This has been a lot of blab.

Good one! I get the winter blahs too. It's been especially hard this winter with Bryant gone and me only seeing the sky for maybe 10 minutes everyday. Oh well... hopefully it will be over soon and then I'll be off to Texas to endure the heat.

well, at least it's february now. that mean we are just that much closer to spring, which means we will be having some sun sometime in the future. wee ha!
Mel, you are awesome and i believe in you. you can remember to read your scriptures in the morning. maybe you could make a big sign that you could see when you wake up to remind you to read. that might help.
Mindy-
i think texas sun would be awesome. i'm one of those people who doesn't mind the heat much. so, when you get there, if you are thinking it's not the best thing, maybe you could just pretend that you're me and then you'd like it a whole lot i think. good luck with your super-busy schedule. you are way cool.

tye, hey. well January's over, but it's still gloomy winter. how stinky! I guess the sun is staying out later, so there's hope around the corner.
glad to hear so many of my peeps reading the BofM. It's the best thing I do lately.
I miss you and Mel, sitting around talking about pregnancy and feeding babies and all the good stuff. I should send you a letter. Do I have your address? I love you a lot.
