Our little family...

Well, I need to go to bed, but I thought I'd put a bunch of photos on here. Here's the update on the members of our family:
Kyle: Got through his first week of school and survived, barely.
Tye: Has made a new friend- the neighbor upstairs, who has KIDS! YEAH!
Millie: Is OBSESSED with princesses and we can't get her to wear anything but dresses all day every day! She also LOVES butterflies- at the Museum of Natural History at UF, they have a live butterfly exhibit in a miniature rain forest setting- she LOVES going there. Kyle took both the girls there yesterday to give me a break (that was AWESOME).
Savannah: Is growing like crazy and loves to smile at us. She's started to make a few cute little cooing sounds too.

Thanksgiving!!!

"Fly away cobwebs
Dust go to sleep
I'm rocking my baby
'cause babies don't keep"

Shortly after Millie was born, Kyle's mom (aka Grandma Reeder)shared this poem with me. It is really important to me right now because when I take care of my kiddos, I usually have to let everything go (laundry, dishes, clutter pick up, etc) so I can give them the attention they need. Eventually other household things get done, or don't, but at least my girls are taken care of when I take the time to love them and attend to their needs. And usually there are moments in between taking care of them for me to do other things and find moments to relax once in a while.

Thanks to you, Grandma Reeder! I love you!

New Sister and Baby Pictures

Yesterday we made the excursion to a portrait studio and had pictures taken of Millie and Savannah. We thought they turned out very well. Hope you enjoy:)

Thankful for my family!

some pics and words i wrote in aug. 2009 that i never ended up publishing. so now i will.

I am thankful for these 3 wonderful people! (this picture was taken when Savannah was about 6 days old).
Kyle: This guy has always been a great husband and father and I love him so much. He takes good care of us. He has been a trooper this past year or so, dealing with me and Millie- he's held our family together in a miraculous way :)
Millie: This sweet girl has been as patient as a child can be :) She is so excited to be a big sister and is very proud of her cute little sister, Sabanna (as she says it).

Full of Thanksgiving

Our family is soo grateful for the many people who helped us before and after Savannah's birth. I struggled throughout the pregnancy for various reasons... pretty bad morning sickness for 3 months, completing a 200 hour internship, having a pinched siatic nerve for the last 5 months of my pregnancy, and pretty bad depression for the last 5 months of pregnancy. Update: the morning sickness is obviously gone, the siatic nerve is feeling much, much better, and there hasn't been much depression since Savannah was born (hopefully that continues after Kyle goes to school and I have to figure out how to handle 2 all by myself- but I'm sure the good Lord will look after our family and help us all).

We have most recently been very blessed by the help my sweet mother who arrived on June 10 in Ann Arbor to help me make it through the remainder of my pregnancy (I was due July 26 and Savannah graced us with her presence July 19- thank goodness for early babies!), and helped with our new baby and her sister Millie, came with us to Florida and a Disney World vacation, and helped us get settled in our new place in Gainesville. She just went home to Utah yesterday (gone over 2 months!) to the delight of all the Utahans who have missed her while she's been with us.

Tomorrow I will post more info about people I am thankful for and more pictures, but tonight, I want to dedicate to my mommy, Grandma Guymon :)

Nikki's ABC post

Nikki tagged me forever ago and I'm finally responding to the tag. In addition to this post, I also want to post pics of Millie's first haircut, my baby shower for Savannah, and the fourth of July, along with cute pictures of my mom who is with us for a while, oh- and pics of swimming. So, hopefully you'll be seeing those soon if the baby isn't born in the meantime (I'm due in 3 weeks!)

R- Reason To Smile: "The sun is up, I'm so happy I could scream, and there's no where else in the world I'd rather be. Than here with you it's perfect. It's all I ever wanted. I almost can't believe that it's for real. Birds sing. We swing. Clouds past by and everything is like a dream." The Cure
T- Tag Three: Candy, Candace, and Jenny... if you want to :)
U- Unknown Fact About Me: I threw up today. Sometimes I STILL have morning sickness- shouldn't that be over by now?!
